VanVleet, a one-time NBA All-Star, is now set to out-earn one of the most influential athletes of all time, Tiger Woods, in the next three years.

According to golf insider Kyle Porter, the NBA guard’s earnings of $128.34 surpass the $20 million Tiger earned in his entire PGA Tour career.

PGA Tour paydays have been a hot topic of discussion recently due to the creation of the LIV Golf Series, which pays players significant amounts regardless of tournament results.

Tiger’s continued dominance in the late 1990s and early 2000s fueled tremendous growth in the game of golf and helped improve tournament purses to where they are today.

While the greatest golf icon of all time has never been on par with current NBA players in terms of career earnings, his brand value has seen him earn ridiculous amounts of cash through endorsements.

Including PGA Tour record earnings of $121 million, Tiger has earned $1.8 billion in his playing career. Forbes certified him as a 2022 billionaire, making him and LeBron James the only active athletes to hold that distinction.
